The project “Una visione oltre - A view beyond” is starting once again for its second edition. It is promoted by the tourist office Pro Loco of Adria and directed by Tobia Donà (curator) and Stefano Cagol (artist). Aiming at supporting young artists through themes connected with the territory, the project is inspired by the enlightened sensibility of the blind intellectual Luigi Groto born in Adria. The focus of the 2017 edition is the area known as Polesine, between the Po and the Adige river, with its unique genesis and the characteristics of a fragile land. Art becomes, in this way, the means for stimulating the entire community and its consciousness about the habitat they live in, at the same time opening to a wider point of view. The focus corresponds to the subtitle “Di mappe in mapping – From maps to mapping” referring to the process of geographic mapping that the artists will face having access to advanced technologies like Sentinel 2, an earth observation orbit-satellite. Artists and guests of the art world will dialogue with geologists and foresters with the aim to develop a significant net of both visual reflections and thoughts. Therefore all the results and materials will be collected and shared on-line. Conceived as a festival, “Una visione oltre” triggers a debate on the connections among art and science, nature and history, future and the environment.
